At Diyabubula, every meal is part of the experience — nourishing, thoughtful, and deeply connected to the spirit of this sanctuary.

Our intimate restaurant welcomes you for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but your comfort is our true menu: should you wish for fresh juices, tea, or a snack between meals, our chef is always delighted to prepare something just for you.

Guided by the Barberyn philosophy, we honor nature and your wellbeing — we do not serve meat or alcohol. Instead, we craft every dish with the freshest vegetables, fruits, fish, and seafood, transformed into vibrant, flavorful meals by our skilled chef and his dedicated team.

Savor Western classics alongside Sri Lankan specialties.

Mornings begin with a generous international breakfast

At midday, enjoy a traditional Sri Lankan lunch of rice and fragrant curries with fresh fish, or choose a lighter Western dish, from pasta to simple salads — just let our chef know in advance. Evenings are an elegant affair: a leisurely Western-style dinner of starter, soup, main course, and dessert, lovingly discussed and tailored with you by the chef himself.

Food as quiet celebration

The food is prepared with intention and served in silence if you choose.

We source organic vegetables from nearby gardens, wild herbs from the land, and prepare each dish with attention to detail and balance. You may request vegetarian and vegan meals. While rooted in Sri Lankan tradition, the cuisine at Diyabubula reflects global influences.

Artists call it “fuel for the muse.” Spiritual seekers bless it as “food that calms the soul.” Gourmets know: this is the kind of meal you remember with silence.

We serve food as a quiet offering.
Silence at the table is always welcome.

Some guests choose to eat alone. Others share a quiet meal with just a nod or a smile. There is no need to explain.
